You could probably throw in Mirror Wall or another Kuriboh. Maybe even Advanced Draw for speed, although it is only useful when you already have a Vennu out...
If you think you lack normal summonable monsters, try Heavy Knight of the Flame.
Unfortunately, there is no real substitute that advances the game plan, i.e. summon Vennu asap, in a similar way so stalling should be the next best thing.
I have an idea for your vennu!
It is an UR from machine overlord, but if you are able to get shinato, u can put inside instead of dark magician if chaos, and sobstitute one primarial cry (or another card u think that can be left) with shinato!
Then I can summon vennu for your strategy, but u can also use shinato for closing match!
