It's not that nobody realized - the issue here is speed. Fur Hire has no in-theme Tuner, meaning most of the Tuners you can use, USUALLY, will take up your Normal Summon for the turn. Since Normal Summoning a low level Fur Hire usually takes priority, that means you'll take two turns to get one Synchro out.
Also, with Wiz being semi-limited, wasting your only Wiz for a Synchro Summon without having Mayhem ready or without having a second Wiz ready, is usually not a good move.
Sure you also can have something like level 3 tuner + Seal = level 7 synchro, but then that relies on you having Seal on the field alongside Wiz for protection, and have a level 3 Tuner in your hand. And you can't do it right away if you used your normal summon this turn for that Seal.
