What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

Yea that's my next build... I have one of most of them including shien... It will be the main once I get more gems... I wish there was a card code machine in this game... Or at least allow us to convert gold to gems

The next cards that should be limited :
- Golden Ladybug
- Massivemorph

Also Floodgate, Senju and Sonic Bird, Sergeant Electro

Maybe Massivemorph and to a lesser extent Electro. Floodgate is good, but isn't issue.
Senju and Sonic Bird are totally fine; they'll probably add Manju soon. Golden Ladybug is trash, are you joking?

Hello guys I am a F2P. I began to play 2 months ago. I want to make a competitive deck to reach KOG and even wether it is possible a high LVd on Kaiba Cup.

I have 13,000 gems but I do not know what is the best deck/box to pull for.

Red Eyes ZOmbie Dragon deck has a card semi-limited (Red Eyes Spirit)

Do you think this card/s on this deck will suffer changes in the future?

It is still viable to build it?

Because is a expensive deck, I do not want to spend gems in a deck which will be limited and unusable or quite seen nowaday as Red Eyes B. Dragon when Champions Vigilance was limited.

Note: I own 1 Gozuki as a reward for Selection Box Vol.1

Another option I can see is Gladiator Beasts, but I am unsure because is an easy-to build deck from a big box built on R and N cards only SR Laquari and I think they will be semi-limited like bamboo swords.

Could you reccomend me other decks?

I appreciate your attention, thanks in advance.

Build what u want to pay its all the same cost in the end.SR and Ur from box cant be limited.REZ is not going to hit anymore and no GB is getting hit.Spirit and Vigilance were only limited b/c the were free

Anthony. Reply
Thank you so much for you response. I can understand a little bit more.

So If I comprehend well, Should I go for Gladiator beast instead REZD?

GB are cheaper to build than REZD I know.

Do you think REZD has lost some power since Spirit was limited?

What's the best to reack KOG currently and Kaiba's CUP I am on Stage 7, with a BEWD deck but I do not think to go further than this.

Thank you

I think Gladiator Beast is better to go for as a f2p. You can get all the cards from one box, and the ultra rare is a 1 of. There are 2 super rare 3 ofs too (Laquari and Impenetrable Attack). That's a lot easier to get than 2 Ultra rare Gozuki, and you'll have to buy from a few boxes. Also I think Glad Beast is a lot, lot better than Red-Eyes if you're not a bad player.

Adding on, Red-Eyes is more of a straight forward deck to play, but at a higher level of play Gladiator Beast performs better. I have something like a 90% win rate with Glads against Red-Eyes in Legend.

Now I'm mad. I didn't know that you could only have 2 different semi-limited cards in a deck until I finally get two copies of Cyber Angel Dakini. Because I have both it and Machine Angel Ritual in my deck, I can't put a second Dakini in the deck. Is this a special rule for Duel Links or something?
Anonymous
why not limit bamboo? there is more options without 3 copy sprite. wtf bamboo still broken.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Why not limit black pendant?? Semi limit black pendant, and the deck becomes way less reliable. If it needs more, semi limit either golden bamboo or cursed bamboo. It wouldn't take much to make the deck more balanced, yet leave the cards still useful for draw in other decks.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
i dont think they will ever limit UR cards from boxes, because some people could have spent alot of money to get 3 copies. however, i think they can limit N/R cards from boxes as they are easier to get...
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You just know they won't limit bamboo. They'll make it semi-limited at best. Which will help I guess.

Bamboo is going to be limited boi.
Konami Employee
Remember Duelists, KONAMI is a business. One way we make money from our game: 1) "Intentionally" release something broken (to use as bait) to get players to spend $, then 2) nerf/limit the card(s) to make Duel Links balanced, and then 3) repeat the whole process by releasing something else that is broken to make more money. Take note that KONAMI does not limit/ban the expensive cards from the boxes in DL. Why? $$$. EXAMPLE: 1) Release f2p CAs 2) create more CA hype (from the KC Cup) 3) sell more p2w Sonics and Senjus 4) Nerf CAs 5) release the p2w ritual card, "Saffira," that supports CA 6) Nerf CAs again 7) create hype for Saffira (from Dkayed's MCS) to 8) sell more Saffiras (to make CAs stronger). This is what we did w/ the BAMBOO cards as well. It's a trend KONAMI created that gets players to constantly buy multiple copies of UR cards (old or new) from the shop in order to keep Duel Links alive. Take note that we (KONAMI) use popular YouTubers to create huge hype when new BOXes come out, to further our SALES at the shop.

Thank you,
KONAMI Employee

I can confirm Mr. Takahashi-san's sentiments below. Gladiator Beast Bestiari, Hazy Flame Sphynx and Massivemorph will be limited to 1 in the upcoming months. Also, stay tuned for new Duel Links content to come! Hint:

"An evil ARMED version of a GX Character's ace will be granted to the one true champion!"

Fan favorites, such as Allure of Darkness, Sangan, and the fan favorite Crush Card Virus will come soon!
Anonymous
So when will Konami limit gladiator beasts?
<< Anonymous(your name)
Anonymous Reply
In some scenarios it does... Why wouldn't I criticize them for being clones. Decks like gladiator beasts can almost play for themselves. Stop being monotonous with the same "easy to get" decks.
<< Anonymous

why should i stop its a fact that honestly is a major contributor to this games success since what you people don't understand is this is a game that will only survive with new players and that wont happen if you 🔥 their best option to be competitive. frankly your complaints are weak
