What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

Lovely Aster

Once again, Konami has screwed Aster Phoenix over. First, they "adjust" the Balance skill to the point where your deck won't work with it or has to have your key cards taken out and replaced, depending on what you play. They won't give him a new skill for his deck type like they have with other characters (Yugi, Jesse, Chazz, etc.) or even his own event. Then they semi limit celestial. Now, vyon is limited. I'm sick of them treating this character like trash.

It really is a shame how konami deals with this meta decks,they nerf it to the point theyre unplayable and to see hypocrite players so happly celebrate that amazoness and fur hire got nerfed really grinds my gears.If every future meta decks will be nerfed to the point there unplayable then what really is the point of purchasing new cards from upcoming boxes.

I think this will be the situation:
Vamps> silent spellbook
Silent spellbook > new BEWD deck
New BEWD > Vamps.
Masked heroes are going to be tier 1.5

Furs are officially done for.

Amazoness took a beat, but Swordswoman + Amazoness Amulet is still a powerful convination so it's still a funtional deck.

The Vyon limitation to 1 is absurd, 3 Anki with 3 Masks is still ridiculously overpowered

Glad that the Cyber-STien + Life Cost 0 exploit has been finally adressed. I however, still consider it a functional deck.

Unsurprisingly Silent-Magician + Spellbooks is, once again, unaffected

Cyber-style... meh, I never tough it was a very exploitable skill and I never ran into decks that rellied entirely on it, but I guess, it could be considered cheap.

Have you actually ever played Amazoness and Anki decks?
2 Princesses and 1 Onslaught pretty much mean the deck is completely dead because there are no good alternatives to those cards, and the only thing that made this deck good (apart from the Onslaught) was its consistency in setting up the board. Heirloom is a weak card.

As for Vyon, it allowed for turn 1 Dangerous plays (especially important when going first) and setting up your graveyard for drawing 2 more cards on your next turn to pull that Mask Change and/or Cosmic/Trunade (and Trunade also got hit).
Therefore, you would run at least 2 (optimally 3) Vyons.
So, together with Trunade it's a massive Anki deck hit.

Now with Amazoness literally killed(0 extra life for Ons and only 3 out of 20 cards to get) why wasn't Vamp hit? It will be now the Nr. 1 deck maybe even T0? Don't know enough about the new BEWD deck, but that could be too T1. FH is something I dislike, but again such crippling move to it? UA only got hit by CS nerf, but that is just nothing I encountered in the last week someone had used to get UA out(sometimes incredible luck to get mid within starting hand or <4 turns).

As much as I wish it wasn't, that's still clearly a factor to an extent. They didn't really hit Masked HEROes, which is the biggest case of such a card needing a hit. Limiting Vyon is simply nowhere near as big a hit as Semiing Mask Change would have been.

They'll definitely hit them going forward, though. (And god I hope Treacherous Trap Hole becomes the first card to become outright forbidden.)

Personally I think they should also hit the older box SR cards, now that they are brave enough to limit them.

Stuff like these for example:
* semi-limiting Komushroomo (and releasing Rose Lover, who didn't deserve the hit)
* limiting SSA
