Increased Deck Size?

I just played against a Yugi Player who had 35 cards in their Deck. I thought the max Deck Size was 30, did they raise the maximum Deck Size?

certain skill on yugi called grandpa's cards gives you 5 pieces of exodia + your deck, so they must have been using a 30 card deck originally.
