The game could be more faithful. Boosters with 5 cards when opening in the store. And start with 5 cards each player at the beginning of the duel.

They won't up the cards in packs because they want you to buy more packs. That's just business, if they gave you more cards per pack they'd up the number of useless normals you get in each booster.
If they gave you the 5 card starting hand you got in the real game, they'd have to up the decks to the 40 card minimum the real game has and up the LP otherwise things like Tea Burn would run rampant with the added draws, and we can see from the banlist they want to keep as much legal as possible.
If you want regular yugioh, play Duel Generation. This is all about the fast paced format.

If the latter were the case, they would have to increase the deck minimum (maybe 30). I have a feeling it will be part of a future event. Maybe a small tournament with no skills, 5 card starting hand, and 30 card deck minimum.
