I agree. I do not think that it is a coincidence that two of the boss monsters in this deck gain effects from tributing Gadgets. I just hope they throw in Silver and/or Gold.
Ancient gears are op because of geartown not their "Gadget" tribute summon effects, being able to summon a big beater by blowing up your own field spell with a card like double cyclone gives great trade offs for the deck
I feel like running Gadgets in an Ancient Gear deck would significantly REDUCE consistency honestly. (Especially given the benefits are minimal.)
But their impact on the game in general would be pretty large (probably moreso than is worth it, given the fact backrow + solid cards is already more or less a viable strategy).
And I agree that Gadgets only add a level of extra play instead of being an actual staple in an AG deck. Especially with this 20 card "Speed Duel" (as Konami has officially been calling them) I just don't think that Gadgets will be prevalent in an AG deck now. On the other side of that, I still don't think it is a coincidence we are getting cards with "Gadget" effects. That is all.
