To that Seth player: Vampires will not be bad like you said. They will stay consistent but you need a 3rd Gozuki to replace the 3rd Samurai Skull. The deck will finally lose Econ, which is a big hit.
I just reached King of Games with Vampires and post ban list, with only 2 Enemy Controllers. So definitely Vampires still powerful but less consistent in general.
Special summon Duke Shade by tributing Familiar/Retainer, you will have 2000 DEF wall as well as you can special summon Familiar/Retainer by again by discarding Vampire card to activate their effect. The problem is Duke Shade is a fiend so it will screw up Vampire Takeover
