Daedalus: deck recipe

Need help to make this deck more competitive; reached platinum 1 but i wanna go kog. Any tips/suggestions/comments are appreciated

Don't use this deck. It falls victim to possessed dark soul, order to charge, basically all parts of the meta. It's a fun deck but it has as much potential as a toon deck. Just give it up and make KOG with an affordable meta deck. This is a waste of time

Don't listen, this deck is making a comeback. I've see it constantly in platinum 1-3 over the last several days after not seeing it in ranked duels for months. I'd say you should ditch both yomi ships to add a 3rd unshaven angler and 1 lost blue breaker.

Lost blue breakers go a long way as hammer shark can spec them and they can be sac'd to destroy opponents back field.
Also not a hige fan of ETL yes you have dead draws in this but with only 4 spells it is likely to be a dead draw as well

-1 Daedalus = I think 3 can be cloggy.
-1 Gale Lizard = I think he is unnecessary for this type of deck.
-2 Unshaved = Wrong deck build for this card.

Once you make these subtractions you are down to 10 monsters leaving you with 2 monsters slots left.

I would add +2 Blizzed, Defender...

Hammer Shark can bring SS him in defense position + if he dies from attack you draw 1 card.

Daedalus is your boss monster + the monsters which can blow stuff up.

Hammer Shark is the monster which helps you special summon other monsters.

-Needle Sunfish - lowers enemy attack
-Yomi Ship - Kamikazes to 🔥 1 monster
-Lost Blue - Kamikazes to 🔥 1 trap

The above 3 monsters are like your utility monsters.

They help you give rid/weaken problem cards.

I suggest 2 Blizz to help you keep drawing more cards.

However, if you find that Blizz isn't for you, You can consider boosting up 2 of your utility monsters.

Once you make those changes you will have 12 monsters in your deck.

You are than left with 8 cards remaining.
Try not to go above 20 cards in your deck.
You want 20 cards for consistency.

Decks over 20 cards can become slower in speed.

The 8 cards you have left over will be your remaining spell & traps.

I think Econ, Big Wave, Mirror Wall, & Umi are good cards.

I would keep those cards in your deck
Once you keep:

1- Econ
2- Big Wave
1- MW
1- Umi

You will have only 3 slots left.

I would get rid of Rising Energy.
Rising Energy makes you discard.

The idea for this sort of deck is to have more cards not less cards.

+1 WOE

Than I would consider adding in +1-2 Moray of Greed.

MOG is a very good card which can help sift through your deck.

In addition, It can help you fix bad hands.

For example:

Lets say you start with:

1- MOG
1- Umi
2- Daedalus

It would be really bad starting hand.
MOG can try to help you fix those type of hands.

If you add 2 MOG, Than you will have 20 cards total.

If you add only 1 MOG, Than you can consider adding in 1 Riryoku to get 20 cards in total.

You can test what ratio helps you the best etc.

In my opinion a Lost Blue Breaker is a must in these kind of decks.

-2 Unshaven

Best Water Deck so far.
It encourage 1 for 1 and speed up the deck with Hammer Shark.
Can counter different situation with yomi ships and sunfish.
