You're right, from the wiki page:

This card is treated as a Ritual Monster in several video games, where its Ritual Spell is "Yamadron Ritual".

Some cards are treated as Ritual in some old games for some reason. Even freakin' FIVE-HEADED DRAGON is a Ritual instead of a Fusion lol

Five-Headed Dragon was a Ritual Monster in the anime, too. (Also a Fusion Monster later on, but its first in-duel appearance was as a Ritual.)

It's a very obscure summoning mechanics where you have to sacrifice your monster cards to summon another monster. Don't try it. It's evil.
