Ummm, yes I believe Anon is, as am I because they are 🔥ed and ruined the game along with XYZ and Synchro. Yu Gi Oh was a perfectly fine game with Fusion and Ritual monsters. They made it too easy to summon monsters and are brainless cards.
Every one of the Summon types has been meta at some point after a new one was introduced... Shaddolls, Nekroz, Yang Zing, Phantom Knights, Magicians...
Not sure why you think any one mechanic is more broken than any other. Any one of them can be abused. Heck, one of the current top-tier decks in the TCG is Invoked, a Fusion-based deck.
All Summon methods are not broken. What broke those decks during the 5Ds era and onward was special summoning becoming more widely used in newer decks at the time. A attempt by Konami to Make Synchros more playable since before that the mechanic was too costly to be viable. That and a focus on Boss monsters being moved to the extra deck. Regardless of rather or not said deck could even summon it.
