Finally got a third kidmodo and vanguard, and made a quick dirty dragon deck. It performs pretty good even in it's current state, although the game is pretty much over without kidmodo or totem. Interested in hearing opinions on what changes can improve it.

Personally I don't think you need SRH in that deck,
also have you considered running last gamble, restart, or switcheroo for more consistency?

SRH has saved me when I only had kidmodo and totem, and no large dragon, but I'll take your word for it. What should I replace it with?

Don't use 2 different boss monsters.

Pick Tyrant Dragon or Pick BEWD

Don't pick both because they both don't have synergy together.

I reasoned having 4 for a higher chance of getting at least one alongside a kidmodo or totem. I also only have 2 copies of each of those dragons. If I was forced to pick one, BEWD has supporting cards, although drawing them without BEWD out is a dead draw. I don't see much synergysing with Tyrant other than fire cards which is a whole new kind of deck. am i thinking this wrong?

Yes! Tyrant Dragon would probably be better in a Fire deck!

What you could do is make 2 different decks and see which one you like better!

Or maybe you will like them both!

You never know!

You could make a Fire Tyrant Dragon Deck & BEWD Deck.

Since you selected BEWD first!

I will give you recommendations on the BEWD deck first!

The most logical BEWD deck for you to make would be the Kidmodo BEWD deck!

I suggest removing Tyrant Dragon + Totem Dragon.

I would than add in Blue Dragon Summoner.

If you go to the web page which I showed, You can see a very well thought out explanation on the cards used in that deck.

Of course, I wouldn't suggest to copy everything on that example deck!

You can spice it up and add in your own special touch!

Plus, You might have to make modifications since you might not have all the cards etc.

The important thing to take away is the relationships & synergy the cards have with each other in the Kidmodo BEWD deck!

Once you understand how they are helping each other.

You can mold the deck to different things.

Plus, you can always come here and ask for different tips or card replacements etc.

Add in Dragon's Rebirth and possibly Exploder Dragon.

Also, Tyrant Dragon has brilliant synergy with Shooting Star Bow - Ceal

^Replace card of red stones with red eyes insight and/or fusion sage. Just run 1/2 REBD and add 1 more wyvern. Can also add some Mirage Dragon for more dragon fusion material and help against mirror wall, etc
