This is my deck for reaching dlv max today from lvl 10 (had 5 losses in total). The deck is very powerful.
3x blackwing simoon
2x zephyros the elite
3x Gale
2x bora the spear
1x oroshi
1x krish
3x black whirlwind
2x cosmic cyclone
2x blackbird close
1x necrovalley
Extra deck
Ancient fairy dragon
Ancient pixie dragon
Obsidian Hawk joe
Raikiri
Black winged dragon
Chidori
The secret is use that necrovalley against decks which are weak to it (witchcrafter, shiranui, dark magician, elemtsabers). They alwaS lose against this deck
This deck is really the tops. I can't think of a way to beat it other than it being extremely unlucky starting with 3x whirlwind 1x Necrovalley or something.
Going 2nd Blackwing is easy to stop with at least 2 disruption (if the dont get CC in their starting hand). Remember Blackwings need another on board to special summon from the hand. They have a maximum of 2 normal summons (if they open with simoon) if you can stop those they usually surrender.
even i beat them sometimes if they do.what i dont understand how they summoned a blackwing specially when it was face down.symoon gives a bonus or what?
Simoon gives a bonus, yes. That's why it's so hard to beat, one interruption isn't enough. They have removal for floodgates too which they may or not start with. But the search can also be stopped if whirlwind is removed.
The OP was just sharing his/her experience.
Everyone can theorize anything about BW deck, but it doesn't change the fact that the OP made it to DLV Max using BW deck and only 5 losses.
If you really doubt him/her, you should ask him/her to show the deck and proof instead. That's more fair
Everyone should just chill. It's all about our playstyle.. If you like to play with same combo over and over again, BW is a strong choice. If you prefer deck with wide range of combos or more flexible, choose big brain decks like Block Dragon or be creative with 1000+ cards in duel links album
Block dragon before the nerf of "draw sense spell/trap" skill was a big brain deck. Meaning, someone invested time to think it, build it, and hit KOG. Then we all just used our copy machines. And yes, it was ridicously op deck. BW deck is a swarm, repetitive deck that you need 0 brain to use or mak it. You just throw the best cards of the archetype and you use the premade mechanisms. 0 creativity
in my opinion, it's the other way around.
Block Dragon post-nerf is the big brain deck.
Before nerfed, it was much more easier to use, thus requiring less brain work
