Huge buff to Dark Gaia and Resonator decks, giving them easy ways to out monsters. Staple in general due to how it outs difficult to remove monsters - does your deck struggle with Lunalights? Santa Claws. Can't out Bloom Diva? Santa Claws. Slash Harpie giving you trouble? Santa Claws.
People are 🔥ting on the newest box but with 3 full playable f2p archetypes and this card as a staple, it's the best Arc V box yet by far.
Not OP, but what is this Sylvian card you are talking about? Pretty sure santa claws is similar to volcanic queen in term of effect which is tributing opponent monster. Perhaps I had it but didnt know it

i'm sure they mean the new rank 7 high silvan arbiter it returns up to 3 cards to hand without targeting.
though sylvans can use many other ed options depending on their build i've seen them using brionac, hastorr, zeta and samurai destroyer when they use spore/bulb. i've also seen them using the xyz that looks like a camera (any rank 6 actually) and heliopolis when going pure or with rikkas
Best Arc V box? Nope. Santa Claws is good but too situational to be a staple, it is just a side deck tier. Meanwhile the rest of the box are tier 3 at best, no meta changer.
Is every deck that runs an extra deck able to run every/enough extra deck monsters to out specific threats? No. Extra deck space is too small in this format to run a viable generic extra deck toolbox.
Yes because diva is not an specific threat the same monsters that can get rid of her can do so with other monsters too.
Check KoG decks in this very site or in dlm all of them have at least 1 generic ED monster that can out diva and almost all other monsters.
Also I hope your opponent doesn't have literally any spell or trap that can prevent your extra deck monster from hitting the field or using its effect, making you go -2 for nothing. Santa Claws is just 1 card and it can't be responded to.
winning that same turn? Melodious doesn't use backrow
I also hope your opponent doesn't have literally any spell or trap that can use santa claws as advantage like ballista, treacherous, econ, needle ceiling you would just go -2 for a card that was yours and that is dead if you went first
Melodious don't use backrow? tell that to all the melodious decks topping tournaments with triple skill prisoner, breakthrough skill, tth etc. Your argument against Santa Claws is a bunch of situational power crept cards that see no play in good decks.
