This card doesn't really stop Amazoness as back then Onslaught rarely hits the Graveyard, and not everyone plays Willpower.

This card doesn't stop Sylvan from firing their effects either, it only stops them from recycling their cards. Remember, this card is a normal Spell, not a Quick-Play, so no chaining to their effect either.

SSA....did SSA deck ever care about their own Graveyard?

Even against the new BEWD since the new cards bring it back from the grave.

BEWD can chain any Set Birthright and Silver Cry to this card's activation.

But yeah, it only save 1 monster, the rest would still get banished.
