For people asking for new cards or 5d please there is Yugioh Duel Generation app and Ygopro website. Ygopro is not bad. You just key in the card name and you can make any deck you want. There is online battle too.
And for people who jusr want old school Yu-Gi-Oh, there's games called Forbidden Memories and Duelist of the Roses, the game are pretty f2p you don't have to worried about powercreep or archetype from another series. Ty

There are plenty of alternatives for people to play the modern meta with others online. There are fewer if any that restrict it to older metas. If you're that eager to "support official products" then play the actual TCG/OCG.

Konami clearly has a plan to go up to Pendulum at least, considering Xyz-related icons and Pendulum-related icons are datamined as well, and there are character dialogue lines for Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum Summon.
