This was when I still hated Aster. He was so rude to Zane during that duel (even in Japanese version), and I hated how he smiled at the end when Zane just looked so sad. Was SO glad when he straightened out after Jaden beat him!
It was cool to see a supposed "unbeatable" duelist lose. And the loss was an interesting turning point in his arc so it was a good thing. Also, Aster is hotter.
I guess it did help Zane learn how to come back from losses. But what really sucked is how much they made Aster lose after a certain point. I wanted to see him beat someone with Plasma! And I do not even attempt to decide whether Aster is hotter than Zane or vice versa. It is impossible for me.
Exactly. This and the DM Yugioh did not like the idea of the rival saving the day too often. This episode was also designed to make Aster fans nervous by tricking us into thinking that he had disinegrated into a pile of nothing for 5 minutes and then almost falling victim to the Lava Pit of Doom before Jaden and Hassleberry saved him.
Very stupid indeed. The closest thing we can get to Aster winning with Plasma is to just assume that he was using it off-screen when he went back to the pro league during the episodes he was gone.
I almost got dragged into liking Cardfight Vanguard, but the first episode of the anime that I watched, happens to be the episode where the MAIN PROTAGONIST debuted a new light dragon thing that turned the table for him.....and still lost anyway.
Got so pissed I decided not to care about CFV anymore. Haha, good job there, Bu🔥road.
