The only passable one is KC Cup because of big gem rewards for D lvl rank-ups. Carnival and Turbo Grand Prix are AIDS in digital form.

What is wrong with you? Stop criticising meta decks. Once you play with those you will change your mind. You just have to buy about 4-5 boxes three times for each meta deck. Learn how to play before complaining.

Exactly. It's just a prettied up version of the usual Ranked duel. They could just add the treasure box thing to the regular Ranked duel, and it would make no difference.

It does make a difference. Because all of the themes so far give a bonus to the recently released meta deck and makes those stronger.

Just buy a meta deck already and play with it. You will see how strong they are.

None of them match the theme at all! What was even the point of the theming, then? Nobody will stick to the theme if the only advantage is 300 ATK boost. Konami should force people to stick to the theme, or at least give better boost for sticking to the theme.

Something like, if you play a deck that has at least 4 different Fairy type monsters, you gets an additional skill that allows you to add 1 Fairy type monster from your deck to your hand once per turn.

Or if you draw a Fairy type monster during draw phase, you can reveal it to add 1 spell or trap card that mentions Fairy in its text from your deck to your hand.

The event could just hard restrict players to use only specific type (Fairy for now) for their main deck monsters.
Deck that consist non-fairy monster is not allowed to be used for the event.

I think it is outright better this way, except the fact it may not be good for new players who don't have many different monster type enough to complete the theme deck.

They could force us to play the theme deck better by set disadvantage like non-fairy type got atk reduced by 300 instead of advantage fairy type got 300 atk boost

And it would be too restrictive to let players only use monsters of one type. You couldn't even use tech cards like Chaos Hunter, Sphere Kuriboh, Kiteroid, etc.

But the suggestion with the additional skill sounds appealing.

That is why this Duel Carnival sucks tho.

They want to make it different by putting factions and theme, so they could promote new cards from new boxes, but also they don't want it to be too restrictive for players.

The result is a half-ass concept which is the same with the pvp if we want to play various deck there.

tldr: Duel Carnival concept need to change, Konami should take the risk.

They should have let us use all the new box cards for free during this event so that we can test the newly released promoted box. That way we would know if we actually want to buy them or not after the event.

It doesn't need to be completely restricted into using just 1 type.

Just need to be forced to have certain amount of the current Type in your deck. You still can run Kiteroid, you just need to run it with 4 different (insert Type here) in the deck.

If they let you test the new cards for free then many people will realise whether they actually don't want those new cards. This will be bad for box sales.

I spend £500 a month on this box. Then I delete my account and set up a new one for next month.
