I kind of disagree. I use Flare Neos in my deck and I really like to use him in duels, because he gains 400 atk for every spell and Trap on the field and if there are 6 Spell/Trap Cards & 2 Field spells, his atk points can be boosted all the way up to 5700 atk, plus you could boost it even higher by using any spells and/or traps with atk boosting effects, like Blustering Winds or Rising Energy.
