Not sure bout Gaia, but it could substitute REBD considering that the counterpart MUST be a warrior-type moster according to the cards description

King of the Swamp cannot replace a monster whose name isn't specifically listed as a fusion material, therefore it wouldn't work to fusion summon Sky Galloping Gaia.

It works. KotS can substitute monster whose name is specifically listed. Just like on red eye slash. you can use Kots + warrior type monster

Sky Galloping Gaia doesn't specifically mention any monster name though.

It says 1 "Gaia the Fierce Knight" monster, not 1 "Gaia the Fierce Knight".

It doesn't work for substituting the Gaia, my main 2 decks are a Galloping fusion deck and an arbrave/slash deck.
