"actually, DM laughs at Blue-Eyes when they have this card on the field."
Not for long. Someone tested Speedroid Rubberband Plane +Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon and it works.
This is now the only way for BE to chain-block and permanently deal with Dark Cavalry.
Really? A 2 card combo, both high lvl monsters, just to stop 1 card? In a deck that is already bricky as hell? I don't think anyone will wait to turn 10 until your draw rubber band to attack your or something.
Rubber band can also be used for "other" purposes.
If your opponent has a >3000 <3600 monster on the field. Rubber band will summon itself and reduce the monster by 600.
In the case of Dark Cavalry, it has 2800 original attack. Rubber band will lower it enough so that even 2500 Solid can beat it. And you have an additional 1800 atk to end the game.
mmm wouldn't using Share the Pain be better? You tribute your white stone of ancient and your opponent tributes dark cavalry. You want white stone in the gy anyways
If you really want to Chain Link Block in a Blue eyes deck, you can still add Magician's rod.
You know, for the effect : tribute + add to the hand.
Like Raigeki break/Karma Cut targets Dark Cavalry, chain Magician's Rod from the graveyard.
Is there anyway to put some Rods in a BE deck though?
Magician's Rod in a BE deck isn't impossible. Rod can add dark illusion. This becomes a +1 for additional discard for your traps. And you can keep adding Rod+search for constant +1 for discards.
Agree. People just want to put limited cards in their decks becuz that would be cool and the "limited" status works as advertising.
Remove the limit and witness how people will stop using it.
Cope. Enemy Controller is on the banlist because of OTKs caused by the second effect. It's massively used and will continue to be as versatile temporary removal or attack stopper.
If you make a 30 cards Blue Eyes deck with Rod, Navigation, Magician illusion it will be very consistent negate.
When you use Karma Cut you discard navigation, special summon Illusion, now you have big defence and a negate. Rod search navigation, and chain block back row
