I'm all for adding new characters but a Jaden clone that could have been a roaming version, Blair who was a nobody in the anime, an unnecessary Carly clone and a Joey clone who never even dueled in DSOD (just like Mokuba and Scud)!
Meanwhile there are legitimate interesting characters that could be added in their place:
From GX - Atticus, Axel, Adrian, Viper, Supreme King, hell even Chumley!
From 5Ds: The other Dark Signers (Misty, Roman, Bomber, Devack), Divine, Yeager, Team Unicorn, Team Catastrophe, Team Ragnarok Team New World/Aporia, Sherry, Paradox, Bruno/Antinomy, Z-One.
Chumley is even more of a nobody in the anime compared to Blair. He has way less screentime.
And 5Ds world just started, you can't really expect those Teams appearing now when we're still dealing with Fortune Cup and Dark Signers. Same with Paradox, Antinomy, and Z-One.
R u kidding he is in the entire season 1. Blair has 2 episodes and does not returne. He's one of jadens best friend and does illustrations for industrial illusions.
I honestly like the variety. I play scud when I wanna use a troll deck and tristen is the home of my beast-warriors and gladiator beasts. You just gotta use your imaginaaaaaation and fit a type with a character. I find unique character deck building fun
