It's only slightly better than something like Shield Crush against them since Komushroomo isn't a Flip Monster. (It banishing the monster helps against Rose Lover, however.)
I do want this, however. I'm just sad we're not getting The End of Anubis from Odion's level-up rewards. (Though I can't complain about what we DO get.)
Hate to tell you, buddy, but Komushroomo ISN'T a flip monster. If you actually read the card, you would see that it doesn't have 'FLIP:' at the start of it's effect. Ergo, not a flip monster.
Only Monsters whose effect text starts with "FLIP:" are considered flip effect monsters per the effect of this card. You know less about this game than you think you do.
