I am having the same issue. Reached dlv 19 multiple times but duels started to get harder and harder in 19. Now I am 17 again but am think 19 is doable. But how can I get to dlvl20? Really having duels with KOGs only that seems REALLY and I really mean it to have always the best starting hand. Like vamps, I always get to remove 1 Field spell and they instantly play the next copy...it’s so depressing I start to think I suck...

it took me 3 hours to reach level 19 and 2 hours to reach lv max on the first day of the kc cup, facing only the full board KOG players ( used koa'ki deck all the way through and furhire deck only for the promotion match just cuz I felt like losing that match with koaki), just be patient and keep trying!

blame Konami for putting 200 gems for level max reward!, I'm a maxed out kog player and when I play as a max rank player I instantly surrunder against any level 19 folks specially if it's their promotion match

Just dont give up,if you get frustated take a break, its based on luck anyway, able to reach 19 means 100% you can reach dlv. Max.

don't be depressed,I got to kog last season and now I got wasted back to plat1 and can't rank up, my best is getting to plat3 and then I get sh*t on and back to plat1, but I am certain I will get kog this season and you shouldn't be down,take a break and don't let these try hards ruin the game and ruin the fun.

I reached to DLV MAX on the last KC CUP and WCS and strangely I never get to KOG ever, only legend.

same here. got to 2nd stage with WCS and the kc cup before that. never tried too hard getting kog i guess

The game really sucks at ranking, I was at dlv 19 promo only to lose to some prick who was already dlv max using spellbooks. Now i'm constantly going back and forth >_< back to 18 again.

I didn't know that people at duel lv. max could duel people at the lower levels. I guess that I should stop hoping that all the players with a s*** ton of KOG icons next to their names will have disappeared around the end of the first stage and just take my chances by dueling more than to just get the daily gems. lol

I think it is probably same like KOG.
KOG people sometime got paired with legend (probably because no other KOG player is matchmaking at that time)

I guess DLV Max may be matched to DLV19 under that same situation.

I have dueled very few people who are currently KOG with red names or max duel lv. It is mostly just people who have all past KOG seasons who are in lv. 19. It is like pvp. Those same people stay in legend and even platinum forever. If they can get KOG so much, then why does it take them forever to rank up?

In my own case, I haven't climbed because I have very little time to dedicate to the game for the time being, so I'm focusing on Auto-Duel and gem farming. It took me a little less than 3 hours to get KoG last month but now I barely have a few minutes at a time to climb...so it's not happening this month. I'm only interested in the ticket rewards, so I don't mind losing a few gems by not climbing.

With KOG, I'm just going to see how far I can go by getting a few wins each day and then getting enough for the UR ticket. That is how I got it last month. But the KC Cup is starting to get annoying and I'm thinking that I should just be happy with the daily gems and lv. 19.

Yeah, slow rolling seems to be the best method. I just did a small climb in the cup, I'm now lv 17.

I fell back to 18 last night for a few minutes. Then I got back to 19 again after dueling someone who just left one monster set. I was like, "Uh-oh, Cipher Soldier incoming!" Luckily, I had the swordswoman and attacked with her instead of the princess. Then he tried to 🔥 her with his swordswoman, so I activated widespread ruin, and then he just surrendered. That could have gotten ugly.

Bait not taken! I haven't used Amazoness in a while, I'm using Fur Hire for an easy climb, but I can say I don't miss running into Cipher. I haven't seen many anti-meta decks though, I expected to see more than the couple of Anti-Trap decks I've faced. I've seen less Amazoness as well. Fur Hire seems to be the most common at the moment.

The fur hires are the hardest. I feel like it has now turned into Wiz-control. There were less amazoness. Still too much "destiny Keith" and U.A. Zane yesterday. You always have to watch for when Zane is trying to bait you so that he can cyber style. And then sometimes when get enough to 🔥 him before he can get more U.A., he will get sphere kuriboh right when he needs it to win.

Wiz is even harder to get over now since the OTK version had a much less impressive backrow, now it has room for defense. I've seen more D-Hero than U.A. or Amazoness, which is ok, imo. I did play a Red-Eyes deck with Cyber Style, using the Slash Dragon engine to take advantage of Poly for a possible Cyber End for game. It was nice to lose to an actual Cyber End Dragon for once.

This was in legend, not KC Cup, but I did duel a cyber end dragon deck. He got it out by fusing the 3 protos and killed my Anki. Then I summoned decider and I guess he got stuck, because then he fused it out for chimeratech just for the heck of it and then just surrendered...

Decider's effect makes it a wall vs most fusion decks. Unless he had access to any Lv 4 or lower Monsters, Decider was gonna be hard to get over.

It has happened before where 1 decider has won me a game. I am guessing that he might not have had any traps left and was afraid that I was just going to get another mask change to direct attack the rest of his lp.
