Give it a chance, and then make a decision on whether you want to stop playing DL or not.
There's already modern strategies in DL; I have no ill will towards Synchros or XYZ since many are quite splashable and are less likely to require having an entire deck built around them.
But you like lame characters from Duel Monsters like Insector or Rex and what about Ishizu, Arkana, Bonz and Espa that barely had 1 duel on scene? Those characters are true garbage
