Quintet Magician

Anonymous
Dark Necrofear is not a generic card that any deck can use, but maybe it can take care of Quintet.
Me
Dark Necrofear's effect only goes into effect in the end phase of the turn that it was destroyed and sent to the graveyard. By the time the turn ends, Quintet Magician would have already attack directly ending the game. But there is another card that might just work. "Chthonian Polymer" allows you to tribute one monster to take control of a fusion monster your opponent just summoned.

I'm going to test this cards effectiveness tonight. I will report back on my findings.

Good luck :)

"Chthonian Polymer" is too specific. It only works against fusion monsters.

I would say more players use synchro.

Other people have been suggesting using World Armor to remove any monster summoned from the extra deck, fusion+synchro.
Does that work ?

Update: "Chthonian Polymer" does work. It steals Quintet and you can punch your opponent in the balls with 4500 attack.

I assume world armor would work. As it is a quick effect if it is normal summoned.

I dont have that card so I can't try it out.

From what I understand, the main difficulty with World Armor is to tribute summon it. Dwarf Dragon can easily search it, no issue. Normal summoning this guy however is hard.
I think setting it would be better, its quick effect is still valid face-down, and your opponent doesn't know what card was set.
Chthonian Polymer is too situational. Today I didn't meet a single fusion user.

I also think World Armor is the better option so far.

It can chain its Quick effect with Quintet's wiping, and it can also return back Shirainui Synchro monsters that are giving many people nightmares.

But how can you implement this in any random deck ?

I agree. I see more synchros than fusions, but the option is still there for people who may not have a lot of good cards to fight against it. Even though you may see it in 1/10 duels. Believe it or not, most of the time I'm matched up with people using a "grave keeper deck" and I always assume they will have Quintet.

As for World Armor, I'm going to try to get the card, but it might be a while because I have no gems lol. The most viable option that I can see is to use World Armor in a Desperado deck…Which I so happen to use as my main. Since World Armor is a Dark Machine type monster, it actually fits in well with the synergy of the deck.

Now knock the desperado deck all you want, but I have actually been doing really well during the KC duels. And yes screw Shirainui.

XD
A Shirainui player rage quit against my blue-eyes-red-eyes-felgran deck. Because I had 30 cards and I mild my deck slower than him, I think he had like 1 or 2 useless Grass.
For the World Armor, I think you can use Superheavy S. Big Waraji for easy tribute summon. The guy also S. summon itself.

Hooo,
I may try desperado with World Armor too then. With Big Waraji also.
I already have the World Armor but not those other cards.
I guess it's time to farm.

Anyone tried using Traptrix trap hole on Quintet ? Does it destroy it or does it only negate his wiping effect ?
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
It only negates the wiping effect, so they're not destroyed.

Anoymous
What if instead you chain a trap card that banishes the grave ?
When you see magicalize fusion selects the fusion materials you can banish those exact materials before they get used.
This way the fusion will miss target the selected materials.
Even if they have 20 monsters to use, miss targetting will stop the fusion summon.

Anoymous
If you use a banishing effect after they use Magicalized Fusion, Magicalized Fusion doesn't go off. The main problem, however, is banishing cards overall aren't that good.

If you guys want to counter Quintet with World Armor then you can use Fires of Doomsday.

Actually, 3*Fires of Doomsday + 2-3*World Armor is nasty. You can keep Sending back your opponent's monsters to the extra deck.

How do you counter World Armor ?
