If you really want to run equip, go with Grarl. It allows you to softlock your opponents monsters after kuriboh, econ, and windstorm while really stong vs Guardian Statue.dek
The fact that this card replaces itself when destroyed isnt really a good argument since if you do lose the equip, you'll probably going to lose your monster as well and are losing anyway. Which is why less people run equips
