i'm doing the same playing lose on purpose deck just to get fights done but i keep one serious deck incase later they have me fight luna or leo (pve duel).

Use a su!c!de deck or just wait until you time out. It's a very good strategy because you have no effort at all and still get some rewards.

no, don't wait until you time out. Other players may report you for "Slow Play", you don't want that.

Apparently the rewards for losing now is less than it used to be, so yes, it does hurt your team in certain degree

Nothing happens even if they report you for afk. And being afk is not illegal, you are giving up your victory. No one forbids you to lose on purpose.

I used to be a try-hard the first few times I did Carnival. Usually was #1 on my team but had loads of slackers who certainly only did one duel and bailed. Now I’ve gone to the dark side and embraced the slacker strategy. This event blows anyway!

Worst/Best part of this event for me is that I managed to be the top player in my team while only doing afk games. I received bonus rewards for being "Best" player lol.

So F2P.

AFK strategy works surpisingly well. I think it's even faster than a su!c!de deck.
