Well, he's right you know. You should try to read the card effects for once. It's stated that "at the end of the Damage Step, if this face-up Attack Position card battles with an opponent's monster: Inflict damage equal to that monster's ATK to your opponent, also destroy that monster." It works both ways, whether your monster attacked the yubel or the yubel attacked your monster.

I'm guessing that you forgot to read Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare's effect. Its effect allows it to inflict damage equal to the targets ATK and destroy that monster plus not receive any battle damage. Vapor will not be destroyed by such an effect but you will still receive the damage of Vapor's ATK. If I were to use Vapor deck then I'd place the one that negates DARK effects in there.

Well, that's unfortunate. I thought Vapor would block the effect damage the same way Stardust Dragon does. I guess Stardust negates all effects if just one of them destroys a card (which doesn't happen with Vapor). Maybe he's a better option to farm Yubel...
