'A' rating yes. Phenix and Dakini are my nighmares with a GB deck, AG can be manageable, it depends only on the two players' first hands. It's a great deck to play, anyway.
Yep but you need to have them in your backrow... And hope that your opponent doesn't have sphere kuriboh. I'm adjusting my deck right now, maybe I'll have a good combo soon.
Aaaaaand, if you have say Security Orb as your face-down, automatic phoenix pop & a free turn is yours OR do like any OTHER duelists and pop a Enemy Controller B4 it is popped and they can't do anything about it.

security orb destroy monster effect will not activate if it destroyed by opponent's monster effect. It only activate if it destroy by opponent's spell or trap effect.
Small discrepancy, but still, any other player would just activate their EC or w/e just before it would get destroyed any other time. Why not against Phoenix?
tl;dr Once GB gets going, they need no backfield.
