And it makes complete logical sense, so I'm not sure why you're finding it hard to fathom. It's like saying "lol, the TCG has 4 Normal Monsters" on the Limited list. They're there for a reason.

Are you new with how DL banlist works or something? The hit was not because Magellanica itself is OP, it was to limit the use of other semi limited cards in Invoked deck.

The Invoked that doesn’t piecing is way more dangerous and they didn’t touch that card. This this is a Blue Eyes with 300 extra atk and nothing more. No concentrating current the guy is no threat

They still can carry 2 Current (although most builds don't do that anymore) if Magellanica remains unlimited.

With Magellanica on semi-limited, the player have to choose which 1 copy of other semi-limited cards the deck can carry.
