Why there is no new characters in deul monsters now?? There are many missed characters like Ryou Bakura, marik ishtar, Duke devlin and Rebecca. I'm still waiting for all of them (especially Ryou and normal marik)
There are a few categories that Konami considers:
1) How many cards are there left that they can use for drops / level up rewards?
2) How many times did they duel?
3) How popular are they?
4) How important are they?
5) Is it Scud?
That's why those 4 characters haven't been released yet.
Rebecca probably will be in KCGP world, since she did join KCGP.
Duke Devlin, I have a feeling he will be made into a DSOD character. Same for Ryou Bakura.
Also, look at the Gate. Do you see any way to fit another character into DM world's list of characters? The dots already spans from one end to another. There's not enough space left.
Really though, instead of Bonz or Lumis/Umbra, we really should have gotten regular Marik.
Personally, I prefer Lumis/Umbra be the ones not being unlockable and their level up/drop cards being in box instead. And put regular Marik in their place, with some of the Gravekeeper's cards we now have in box.
Regular Marik??? This guy never actually dueled or ever had an impact in the anime. Only yami marik was a main character/vilain. And yes, i prefered the much better Masked Beast des Gradious plus the cool and nice skills of Lumis/Umbra rather than another summoning video for an unplayable god card.
I got all the weird characters I asked for;) (the ones listed except instead of Umbra/lumis, I just asked for more duo characters). Now I’m petitioning for ghost kaiba. You can blame people like me for asking for these characters:) I REGRET NOTHING
Umm..Marik was the main villain before Yami Marik took control. Most of the stuff in season 2 were orchestrated by Marik...he set up the Ghouls gang...he wanted to 🔥 Yugi, mind-controlled people, attemoted to 🔥 people (like the Yugi vs Joey duel) etc.
You're wasting your time trying to explain that to him. You could explain about Marik in every way from fully-illustrated numbered diagrams to a puppet show and he STILL wouldn't get it. He's too stupid to comprehend it.
