It is not just you. I never saw the 4kids dub, only a few japanese episodes and youtube videos so far. But the voice acting seems to have gotten worse with each new series. As a steam player, I can't escape from them either (trick doesn't work for me). Waiting for Kalin since he is the only 5Ds one I'm still waiting for that has a voice that isn't unbearable to listen to if I use him a lot.
No japanese voices on Steam. The cheat trick to get the voices didn't work for me either. There are still the korean voices, though. Maybe Jack will sound better with that.
"British just like Bakura" That's because they share the same voice actor. Like how Crow sounds like Jesse. And Bastion a bit like Kaiba. And Syrus and Joey share a VA too.
