This is why hazy won't be meta you gotta resolve everything through monsters: if you over commit with basiltrit you can go -5 in card advantage with a simple Samurai. If you play safer and go with any other xyz you get otk by cydras, blackwing, lunalight, etc
Im not saying it will be meta. But its a very fun deck and a cheap one. It's really not healthy that peoples definition of meta is decks that can run at least 60% staples and 40% of their own archetype's cards.
You are being generous there, it is more like 80/20 yeah I hate those pseudo decks and those who use balance because they don't have enough brain to build a deck by themselves
Balance skill only determine your card type ratio. It does nothing to other aspect of deckbuilding, like what cards to put and how much (like for example should I run 3 cosmic or just 2).
"it does nothing to other aspect of deck building"
Yes, it does. Try running only 5 spells, you can't right? The skill is forcing you to play a certain number of spells.
the ratios of the cards? You don't come up with them, the machine is imposing them to you.
You go 3 of the spell you want and 3 of whatever other good spell you have, you don't care about bricking the machine will fix your hand
