But I wouldn't call them 'Heliotrope' at all. They worship something very different than a warm star, and they live in a constant survival which is very bad even for them.
Yes, inversion. They believe Evil is good, and that Good is evil. They believe they are in the path of 'divinity' when in fact the are in the path of deception and self-🔥.
