Does other people feel these box sets are kind of a scam? No matter how much gems or money you spent on one, there comes the other and ypou have to start all over to have most of the cards? I mean, in games like Hearthstone there is dust, so you gain something from one expansion to help you for the next one but here there is nothing, apart from little gold for the store. I know other mobile games use this kind of "revolving doors" where no matter how much time and money you spend on certain resources, next week you have to start all over. It's not the same thing, I barely spent gems on the previous box set(very, very bad box set) and there are no problems, but looking at this one, after Super Rush Headlong, a UR of floodgate trap hole seems like an auto-include and you need 2-3 copies.
HS has standard play, meaning any cards that are 2 years old and not from classic become useless, and the OP classic cards get taken away as well. I left Hearthstone because they get more and more pay to win whereas in Duel Links a F2P wanker like me can get to King of Games without spending a single penny
if you buy every box you dont know whats up. floodgate does nothing but make turbo and straight bbeatdown less good. it forces the meta to slow down and not auto include those 1800/200 beaters and hope to just get through.
just think before you buy, everything is about the long run, floodgate is good to have but is it really a must have? there's still dozen of creative ways for backrow destruction allowing you to keep making your plays, cards like nobleman, supervise+darkstorm, gateway to chaos + storm, e.g. all seen play and still effective
choose a deck type and aim to stick with it, also something that has seen a lot of play IRL and therefore would seem like a decent pick, e.g. monarchs. Opening every pack is not a way to go for anyone, even those who spend money, just go after some vital cards, remember, not every UR with a lot of initial hype behind it is a vital card.
IDK Decks like Toons do just fine without spending a single penny, and Red-Eyes decks only focus on a few boxes, and that deck is still pretty powerful. Honestly there isn't much in this box that's enticing other than some of the Ultra Rares and Tribe Shocking Virus.
