when you got both half counter and mirror wall the game tells you in "damage step" to activate mirror wall.. THEN says "this is before damage calculation" and shows half counter.. maybe ll work, idk
End of damage step your monster already destroy, mirror wall and half counter cannot activate after Gear Golem declare attack. declare attack -> battle step -> start of damage step -> before damage calculation -> damage calculation -> after damage calculation -> end of damage step http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_Step
