CA still top tier due to its consistency, although it's auto-lose against Alien. While AG is slow because you usually only summon 1 monster per turn and has no searcher unlike Alien.
auto-lose against aliens - the new f2p deck that will most likely swarm the pvp + most used deck in competitve play. when ca have auto-lose match up against that they can't possibly be tier 1
lol thats not the point. every deck has at least 1 bad match-up. but how bad that match-up is depends on how popular that bad match-up is. if ssa was not in the game, aliens wouldn't be so good because of hazy, but hazy just doesn't see play. meanwhile aliens is one of, if not the most popular deck right now making ca hardly playable in pvp and completely unplayable in competitve events
Yes alien is meta, but not all people playing it. There are also people playing SSA, Archfiend, REZ and so on. CA still tier 1 bc they can deal with these decks due to the chance of OTK, protection, and its consistency are great
