So here's what I posted about on the Upcoming Events---August Page. There's a 90+% chance that the new duelist will be Yugi Moto. However, I note that I'm pretty sure that Moto never dueled without Yami helping him. Also, there are two duelists from Duelist Kingdom that we saw duel who have not been introduced---Panic and Bonz. In a way, they would both be perfect to add, as, while they never met, their most recognizable cards complement each other, and are already used together by Level 40 Odion. While I'm fairly certain this will be a Yugi Moto event, I'm not going to count out the possibility that either Bonz or Panic could appear.
Panic is never seen in this game. In the japanese anime/manga Panic name: Duelist Killer. so lol. Kotsuzuka is possible, but kotsuzuka and bandit doesn't invited to Duelist Kingdom xd
Yugi dueled Joey at the Domino pier in battle city and i think he dueled yami bakura in the last season. Theres also a duel in the anime in a warehouse where he fights by himself. Not to mention fighting AGAINST yami lol. that seems like at least more duels than tea yet shes in the game so i dont think it matters how many duels a character actually had
As said earlier, the "normal" Yugi had few occasions where he dueled without Atem's help at all in the DM anime. His most impressive feats are pressuring Atem heavily in their Season 4(Orichalcos Arc) Duel, beating Yami Bakura in the Final Season, and defeating Atem himself(including developing strategies in his deck specifically meant to defeat the Egyptian God Cards and Dark Magician).
YES, Yugi Moto did duel without Yami every now and again. However, I cannot recall a single time in which he does this during the Duelist Kingdom story arc, which is what this event is.
