I'm basing it off the new world and new characters. They've already got most of the major people from duelist kingdom and battle city.

The new world could be Noah's virtual world but they already added Shinto which would be his signature card so I personally don't see that happening.

Gate Guardian was in the game before Paradox Brothers, same thing

Only problem is that Gate Guardian was/is available by the Card Trader, which meant you could specifically buy it. However, seeing as it can cost up to 10000 gems to find Shinato, I doubt they would do that.
