People often think synchro is broken becasue of naturia, with one op synchro to its name, and ice barrier, which had trish and brio. They forget both got nuked by wind ups, and the banlist. Very few decks of ANY type are broken.

Their are actually several reasons why people hate synchro's & believe they are broken.

Synchro summoning causes the game to speed up which is what the Konami made them to do.

The anime of 5D's had players on motor bikes. The players were only able to use fast quick play spells & traps during the duels.

It simply caused everything to get faster.

Synchro summon cards are white frame cards.

They have a summoning condition on them.

Most of them will say something like needs 1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monster.

The Synchro monster will have a level like level 7.

In order to make this monster.

All you need to do is have 1 monster as a tuner & 1 monster as a regular monster.

Both cards level have to equal 7!

People get upset with Synchro summoning because it is less costly!

In order to tribute summon a level 7 monster.

You need to have 2 monsters on the field + the level 7 monster in hand.

It takes some time to do this play.

To Syncho summon a level 7 monster.

You only need 2 monsters on the field.

Than boom your off Synchro summoning. The Synchro monster comes from your extra deck!

Sometimes people brick in their opening hand because of to many high level monsters in their main deck!

Well if all your main monsters are in your extra deck. You will never brick!

Your main deck will only have low level monsters.

The last main thing people hate about Synchro monsters is how long people take to do a single turn!

Right now you do a combo play.

It takes you maybe a few seconds etc.

Than your turn ends.

When you play Synchro monster decks sometimes you can do a combo play which takes up to 5 mins.

Because you have to remember the player needs to have the right level to make the Synchro

In order to make a level 10 Syncho, you need to build up the levels of the monsters on your field.

The best way to do that is to make mini Synchro bosses!

So like you bring out a level 3 + 4 monster.

Than Synchro to level 7 monster.

Than use the new Syncho level 7 with a spell or trap to bring out a level 3.

This than help you make the level 10.

So you are building up your synchro's.

I seen a guy take about 10 min's to make a synchro combo play.

He drew half his deck in the process of doing that play.

I negated some of his cards while he was doing his turn.

He end up having an answer to my negations.

Once his play was finished he had so many negation monsters on the field.

I had to surrender the duel.

The positive thing that Duel links has going for it is in the fact the monster zone is only 3.

I think it will be tough for some of the Synchro decks to make some of the really big Synchro bosses in a single turn.

I think it will take than more than 1 turn to do it because of the field limitations maybe!
