When they release Zexal all of the old meta will get nerfed. This is an excellent opportunity to buy new stuff. All players will have to build new decks from scratch.
Adding Zexal will punish only those who have used too much salary in the game.
I think what the dude meant to say is that the ban list will be such that using your wages will be the only option to stay competitive. Since everything else will be made bad enough to make XYZ look good.

You're wrong, zexal will buff old decks such as harpies, six samurai, koa'ki, etc. since these decks can bring rank 4 easy.
