No effect, 1000 ATK.DEF loss... It's just for Synchro, but that's not that good...

Poweful rebirth is an SR from a mini box, what's the difference of being an UR or SR when you're on a minibox and you're only a 1 copy for reset.

Pretty sure this card is still used in the modern meta. Albeit for different reasons.

Its faster, it's easier to get cards onto the field for syncro plays.
SSA decks can utilize it to banish the special summoned monster to than revive it with full stats or you can use it on Abyss Soldier as the discard cost isn't negated(as it is required for it's effect to trigger) allowing you to set up floaters.
