The OCG/TCG banlist has gotten too big, you dunce. They errata some cards so that they can release them from the banlist and make the banlist slimmer.

They want to slow it down, hence errata instead of powercreeping them.

Don't nerd cards. Just limit to one or ban, but never errata cards. It's bad for the game and hard for everyone to keep up with.

Who says you have to get new copies? You're allowed to play with old copies as long as you treat the text as the new one.
