Okay, Konami. Since you are putting necrovalley in the new selection box, you don't have a real excuse to not give us this character anymore. Just throw a bunch of random crap into his level up and drop rewards like you have mostly been doing with the latest characters, release him, and be done with it.
Since when is Necrovalley his Ace? He doesn't even have an Ace, we never saw any hints at regular Marik's deck anyway, because he was a minor-ass character. Also, unlike Ishizu and Odion, he's NEVER used a Gravekeeper deck in any video game.
I'd expect regular Marik's deck to likely be the WATER portion of the deck Yami Marik uses (so the Slimes and Plants) since they don't fit his torture theme.
I thought that they might give him gravekeeper cards here since Yami Marik doesn't have them like in this game like the tcg structure deck. Since this takes place after the anime, I could have seen them making the reformed Marik Ishtar honoring their old legacy like Ishizu's cards. For all the episodes and videogames he was in, he isn't a "minor 🔥 character". So please calm your hate boner.
The only things regular Marik actually did were kidnap Tea, Mokuba and Joey and forfeit to Yugi. (Also handed Yugi Slifer because of ego.) Nothing he did before he became Yami Marik or after he reformed actually affected anything.
Realistically, regular Marik probably had a smaller significance to the plot than Odion did. (Since Odion was the one keeping Yami Marik in check.)
Granted, most villains don't accomplish a lot. But they at least managed to do SOMETHING. Pegasus and Dartz succeeded in capturing multiple relevant souls, Bakura resurrected Zorc, hell, even Rex and Weevil briefly had all the Millennium Items. Marik's biggest "accomplishment" was giving Yugi Slifer.
Aside from screwing over the life of Arkana, what lasting impact did any of Marik's actions have?
He organized and led the rare hunters/ghouls, and stole Slifer and Ra, which is what caused Ishizu to convince Kaiba to start the Battle City tournament in the first place. But I suppose that means nothing to a lot of people. They would rather go on about the incredible significance they believed that characters like Bonz and the Paradox Bros. had. And now here is the part where you will do that.
Not in the anime and manga. There was about a six year gap where he did not take control again after he killed Mr. Ishtar because Odion was able to hold him back all of that time before he fell unconscious on the blimp. In duel links however, Yami Marik has reorganized the rare hunters.
No he's not
Normal Marik did that to get the revenge
We have three Mariks
One as you have seen in the season 5 and in the end of season 3
Yami Marik
And the one as bad marik not yami marik
Most fangirls like this one as you have seen him in season 2
