Deck Advice

Noone seems to run anything like this from what I can find, any suggestions? I really like how well the trap cards synergize with rider and flash, I almost always have a 220-2400 4 star turn 2, and an 1800-1900 turn one with at least 2 traps to support them.

I would run another copy of Adhesion Trap Hole or Mirror Wall if available over one copy of Wild Tornado or Security Orb, whichever sees less play. Just to keep those Traps flowing to avoid getting Flash Assailant below 1600/1800.

BTW, I think this deck is sexeh :v
Also, with the Paradox Event giving out Palabaryth, which gives fiends +500 ATK, this deck could become a solid Tier 2 or 1, depending on S/T lineups.

I think you should replace Adhesion Trap Hole with Golden Apples.

Golden Apples contributes to clogging the field, you want a more fluid S/T lineup when using Flash Assailant.

The reason I don't like Adhesion Trap Hole is because I think it is far better in decks which have alternate win conditions.

Most decks try to win by killing the opponents monster until 1 side ends up taking control and attacking directly for game.

However, I believe ATH is designed for decks which try to win with out trying to 🔥 the monsters.

Decks which usually run ATH use it as a way of clogging up the opponents field with a weaken monster.

Than they try to win the game by doing Burn Damage or Direct Attacks which by pass the monsters.

Decks like Spirits or Toons, They can attack directly with out killing the monster which is weaken by ATH.

For these reasons, I don't like ATH in this deck because the OP doesn't have an alternate way to win.

His way of winning in this deck is by killing all the opponents monsters.

Thus, I think the trap ATH really isn't doing a very effective job.

I than decided to try and replace it with something else.

The trap which I though of was Golden Apples.

The reason why is because I think the OP can benefit from summoning a Token!

I think there might be bad hands were the OP might get 1-3 monsters in his opening hand.

For example: What if he draws Necrofear early?

It will completely mess up his Assailant.

I think the OP might be able to use a Golden Apple as a way to copy an opponent monster.

I see where you're coming from but, given your previous explanation, wouldn't Apples be more of a fit for alternate Win Conditions than ATH? I believe a discard outlet like Wonder Balloons would be more fitting for this deck, considering everything said above.

Hey! You bring up a great suggestion Saladfingers.

Yeah! I think Wonder Balloons could be better than Golden Apples.

I was thinking of Golden Apples because it is a normal trap which can work with Diskrider.

However, I do like the idea of being able to discard with Wonder Balloons better.

Adhesion Trap Hole only lowers 1 monster.

Wonder Balloons would lower all opponent's monsters.

Yeah!

It discards stuff to make Assailant more stronger + makes enemy more weaker.

My gosh that is a deadly combo.
I like it more than Golden Apples now.

Yep, it would be a decent card to add. It does help lighten the load in a pinch. :)
