You can play pendulum monsters as continuous spells, you place them in 2 specific slots, they must have different scale, each pendulum has a scale written in the card.
How to summon? Let's say you place one pend with scale 4 and one with scale 8, that means you can s. summon from hand or e. deck any monster with a lvl between 4 and 8 (5,6,7)
^
*Then come some extra rules like: destroyed pendulums used as scales go to the extra deck face up (these are the ones I mentioned able to be summoned from extra deck)
*You only have 1 instance where you can pend summon, must be in main phase, you can't pend summon 1 monster then do some stuff and then try to summon another one, you have to summon all the monsters you want at the same time
just that? that's the scary part of pendulums? summoning a bunch from hand? what a fu cki ng joke thunder dragon summons tons of times per duel, resonators too and they don't even use normal summon. this looks like overreacting at its finest
Konami can nerf Thunder Dragons and Resonators tho with the banlist. Pendulums will work like how they were introduced in the TCG (at least until Links get here).
i just don't get the fear to pendulums they say the mechanic is broken and that they spam easily i mean even and old deck like fur hires was capable of swarming the field + setting up a negate
They did nerf Pendulum in the OCG/TCG. When they originated, they could pendulum summon as many monsters as possible from the extra deck. This means that they could go +5 every single turn. But now you can only Pendulum summon from the extra deck to your extra zone.
Just thinking back to Performapal era, Pendulum Magician, Metalfoes, Qliphort, and even Igknight make me shivers.
But yea, I guess here in Duel Links, with time limit and limited monster and s/t zones, Pendulum will slow abit. And they just cards, they can be chained, negated, destroyed and such.
Stupid Resonators and other decks that protected by cheap Skills are still more broken.
