Also, the only duelist Jaden lost to that he didn't beat or tie in a later duel was Kaibaman, and that duel was literally just set up to teach Jaden how to cope with losing. So that was more of a plot element than anything.
I didn't know what Shining Draw was so I looked it up. Lol, that's some serious BS. I mean Yugi had his faith in the "heart of the cards" and Jaden had his luck of the draw, but this dude just outright picks whatever card he wants or just makes up a new one if that doesn't work.
listen carefully, when it's Yami Yugi's turn
Paradox calls him king of games, because the title belonged to him "only". (voice different due to copyright issues)
The title "King of Games" has lost all meaning ever since GX ended and hasn't even been used ever since 5Ds ended. Not once has the phrase ever been used in ZEXAL or ARC-V, and I doubt it will be used in VRAINS. Also I don't believe Paradox ever said that in the Original, so your example is irrelevant unless you can prove to me Paradox called Yami Yugi the king of games in the original,
hi,I can agree with u that it may not mean that much, but it is a title that is unique to yugi, no other characters will be called that, when u hear kog, the first person that comes up to our head is yugi, and it's not just that moment in that movie, you can feel as if Yami was like a teacher to the other 2,the way they dubbed it in English
As for the original, u mean by Japanese right? well you are right, since I do not understand Japanese I will not be able to prove, let alone find a Japanese version of it, but I'm sure the English dub is legit even though they may not translate everything 100% from Japanese version.
That one I kind of agree with you on. Yami Yugi was an inspiration to both Jaden and Yusei since he was the original champion after all, and the title is more of an honor thing. I thought you were trying to say "His title is the King of Games, therefore he better than everybody else". If you didn't mean that, sorry about that.
The English Dub often does have a good amount of differences from the Original, although granted it started getting much closer to the Original ever since 5Ds started.
It's alright, you are right too, we can only appreciate every character's traits and unique cards and dueling styles, whoever is better is not for us to decide, every series has a fanbase and we have to respect that, I don't think konami ever intended to let us know who was the best ,and it would be great if it stayed that way, peace :)
Technically they both won the title. I agree Atem is the king of games. He’s won more duels than Yugi. Sure he lost in the last episode but that was so the show can end. Plus, I heard the creator of Yugioh doesn’t consider Yugi as the King of Games. I like Yugi, but I think Atem is more deserving of the title since he did most of the work. Sure, Yugi helped but he’s won duels without Yugi
Their only real loss, though, was caused directly by Atem. (Against Raphael.) Ignoring the loss to Rebecca (which was for story reasons), and to eachother.
And Yugi's record on his own without Atem is just as impressive as Atem's is. (Also, GX makes it clear that Yugi maintained his "King of Games" title past Atem's return to death.)
I think that Jaden is a bit better than Yami Yugi, Yet im not saying about Yugi Muto.
Why, Damn it, just look at the orginal YGO anime. Count for me: HOW MANY FREAKING TIME THAT ATEM CHEATED. WTF.More than that, Atem is not "pro" himself. He is just a little weak 🔥 that need his 4 friends to help, when jaden only need his little winged Kuriboh.
Atem draws whatever he wants, but at least he still has honor and abide to the rule, drawing only the card he has put into his deck.
Meanwhile, Yusei can use Crimson Dragon's power to put Saver Dragon (the pink tuner) on top of his deck, in other words, putting a card that is originally not in his deck. But we already have Skills with similar effect in DL.
Ever played any card game (ANY) in which you were about to lose and only 1 card from your deck could save you? That has happened a lot to me in Duel Links
Had that happened to me, and the best part is that my opponent accidentally helped me get that one card that turned the tide of the duel into my favor.
He activated Conscription in an attempt to steal a monster from my Deck, but only ends up adding Super Rush Headlong to my hand. I immediately used it on Jasmine to destroy his 4k ATK Felgrand Dragon, and he couldn't recover from it.
Atem could draw EVERY CARD THAT HE NEEDED, even if it wasn't on his deck, it was clear on his final duel against Yugi, at least yusei did it only with one card
