If you want to Rank up that badly, wait until they very end of the month to do so. Since ranking down in all tiers but Legend no longer exists, by then you´ll mostly be facing non-meta decks.

Wanna KoG early, then yes, coughing up some dough is pretty much required.

Those decks needs a lot of gems to build, yes, but they're not P2W at all.

P2W would be decks that require 2 or more copies of cards from structure decks.

3 main box resets don't NEED any real money investment though. You can totally achieve that as a F2P player if you have a lot of patience.

But by the time you net the the gems you need, you get the deck you wanted, and guess what? It´s not top tier anymore. Rinse and repeat.
