Would be way more interesting if we can use all the rest of the summoning types and maybe, just maybe, divided factions we could choose from to master that type of summoning

The only reason that makes this game pop is the old school format before 5D and they only add in a select pool of cards from the TCG. Konami did do this week a survey and asked about 5D content even then they still arent sure if they should add the rest of the other type of special summoning into the game.

You may not get it yet, duel links is a new game, and so they are testing basic dueling before they install synchro summon and XYZ summon. But they will be released very soon since people are aching for them. They are currently not paying attention to the pendulum monsters and zone.
